Here is the color coding in the game:

  • Orange square: This is the active square, the one you will modify using the keyboard. It automatically moves to the next editable letter. If you tap on a square in the grid, that square becomes the active one.

  • Light blue squares: These are the squares of the selected word when no letter of this word has been validated yet. As a reminder, the word’s clue square is also colored light blue, and you can see the clue more clearly in the blue box above the keyboard (useful if it’s too small in the grid).

  • Dark blue squares: These are the letters that have been validated and cannot be changed. When all letters of a word are correct, they all turn dark blue.

  • Red squares: These indicate that the word you entered is not the expected one. Even if you make a single mistake, all the letters will appear red, because the word is validated as a whole. No worries: the number of mistakes does not affect your progress. At the end of the level, you’ll see the error count, but it’s purely informative. The number of stars you earn depends only on the difficulty of the level completed.
